If You Want Good Laptop Computer Deals, Choose An AcerAs usual, the place where you'll find the real laptop computer deals will be on-line. Amazon.com is a good place to start; but they're generally not the best deal out there. Some of the private companies will offer slightly better offers sometimes. You should always check to see if a dealer has at least a 95% acceptance rating before you order, though. Also, if they rate lower than 98%, you should read some of the 2 star ratings to see why they tend to be so low. Don't look at either the 100% ratings or the 0% ratings, as neither will tell you anything. The 100% might have been planted there by the company, or someone who has an ulterior motive. The 0% might just be one bad day in the company's life. Since there are so many laptop computer manufacturers out there, you should keep your research more limited. If you go too far from home, you might say¡ you're bound to get too swamped down with facts and specifications. You should start at a level where "What many people say is good must be good." Try looking at the manufacture's site to get an idea of what they're aiming at. If they specify how something looks, and how good it will look when the girls see it at your college¡ then the main emphasis isn't how fast it is, or how long the battery lasts, it's how they look. Acer laptop computers have always been a good company when you're wishing to buy laptop computer. When you're looking for laptop computer deals, if you want a cheap laptop computer you might think about getting a reconditioned one. That means that the company sold it to someone, there was some problem with it, it was shipped back to the manufacturer, they determined the problem (in a big way, not in some component-level way), they replaced that part and it can no longer be sold as a perfectly new computer any more. In this way you can get a dell, or one of the other manufacturers which tend to be a bit more expensive for the same prices as you'd get a cheaper computer. With an Acer laptop computer, though, the price is so low that you can oftentimes buy a new one for the same price that you'd purchase a reconditioned Dell. Because of the economy, laptop computer sales have been down. This caused a drastic reduction in the price of most laptops. Also, Netbooks caught on so rapidly, and they're so much smaller than laptops are, that people have been deciding upon them, instead. However, Netbook computers just aren't the same power as a laptop is. They tend to be limited as to how much you can expand them, they are slower and they don't' have as big a hard drive (or any hard drive). A Netbook computer is really designed to log on to the internet and browse. You can E-Mail stuff, you can twitter, you can go to Facebook. You can run MSWord. However, that's about the limit of what it can do. They generally come with a crippled version of Windows 7 and don't even have a built-in CD-ROM, never mind a DVD unit. You'd do much better buying an Acer laptop, which is only about a hundred dollars more expensive than a Netbook computer. |
